Migrate from eviivo

Move from eviivo to PeakSpitz, safely.

Moving off eviivo should feel like restoring from a backup, not a leap of faith. Your hotel PMS data is read into a PeakSpitz environment of your own, checked against your real numbers, and run in parallel — while eviivo keeps running, untouched, the whole time. Here is exactly how, step by step.

eviivo Suite serves B&Bs, inns, small hotels and vacation rentals, and its strength is breadth of channel connections — keeping one calendar (eviivo's 'Diary') in sync across many booking sites is what it's known for. Properties typically move on as they grow past hospitality-only tooling: retail, real VAT accounting, deeper inventory and business-wide operations tend to live in separate systems, and mixed room-and-rental setups can outgrow a booking-first suite. PeakSpitz unifies bookings, a storefront, operations and real accounting on one EU-hosted platform with unlimited users and an open REST API.

The safe way to leave eviivo

Work down the list at your own pace. Nothing here is irreversible, and your current system stays live throughout.

  1. 1

Before you touch anything — get a backup you own

Get a copy of your data out of eviivo that you control — a file held on your side, not just a setting inside the system. Confirm in your contract that you have the right to export, and note any renewal, notice or lock-in dates so the timing stays on your terms.

  2. 2

    Export your data

Pull rooms, rate plans, reservations and guest profiles out of eviivo in the most complete format it offers — CSV, spreadsheet, or an account/API export. Take the history too, not just open items: past records, documents and contacts are worth keeping.

  3. 3

    Send us a sample

Before you commit, send us a representative slice — a handful of customers, a few recent orders or bookings, part of your catalogue. We map it into PeakSpitz and show you the restored result, so you see exactly how your hotel PMS data lands before you move the rest.

  4. 4

    See what maps to what

We line eviivo up against PeakSpitz: rooms, rate plans, reservations and guest profiles become customers, catalogue, orders, documents and ledgers in one joined-up system. Anything without an obvious home is flagged early, not discovered late.

  5. 5

    Bring it in — a read-only restore

Your data is read into a fresh, isolated PeakSpitz environment of your own. Nothing inside eviivo is touched, changed or switched off — it keeps running exactly as it is.

  6. 6

    Verify against your numbers

Before you trust it, reconcile the totals — balances, counts, tax and revenue — against what eviivo shows today. The numbers have to match before anything goes live.

  7. 7

    Run both in parallel

Keep eviivo live and run PeakSpitz alongside it for as long as you like. Compare like for like, move one area across first, and build trust before you depend on it. No big-bang cutover, and no deadline from us.

  8. 8

Cross over and decommission — on your terms

Switch over only when PeakSpitz has earned it. Keep your eviivo export archived as a safety net, and close the old subscription when you are ready — not a moment before.

What to watch when leaving eviivo

  • eviivo's channel connections are its strongest feature, but they don't migrate — each OTA link, with its room or property mapping and rate plan, is re-established on PeakSpitz before you resume selling.

  • If you run vacation rentals as well as rooms, confirm how each listing type should be modelled and which channels are must-haves; whole-property and per-room inventory are set up deliberately, not inherited.

  • Historical bookings, guest records and statements typically come across as a read-only archive; the Diary's future reservations and open balances are what must be live and accurate at cutover.

  • Stored card details don't transfer as usable tokens; guests re-authorise on the next booking, and any payment terminal re-pairs to PeakSpitz built-in payments (card, cash, bank & SEPA).

Common questions about leaving eviivo

eviivo connects to lots of channels — will I lose that reach?

Channel breadth is eviivo's real strength, and PeakSpitz won't claim to match every connection on day one. Direct bookings run through the built-in storefront, and OTA links are re-established using the open REST API and webhooks — so map your must-have channels first.

We mix B&B rooms and holiday-let properties — does that fit?

Both model as products, so per-room and whole-property selling are represented with their own rates and VAT. Because it's a deliberate setup rather than an import, it's a chance to standardise how each property type is sold.

Is our guest data kept in the EU?

Yes — PeakSpitz is EU-hosted with per-customer data isolation and a full audit trail. Guest profiles map to customer records, and closed bookings usually arrive as a read-only archive so history is preserved.
